U-Haul Employee Killed in Tragic Accident at Dallas Facility

An employee at a U-Haul in Dallas was killed in a tragic on-the-job accident. The employee was directing a customer who had rented a U-Haul truck to back the truck up near a building in order to attach a trailer hitch. The customer accidentally accelerated, which pinned the employee between the building and the U-Haul truck. The employee died instantly.
In tragic cases like this one, in which an employee is killed on the job, the employee’s family can seek benefits through the worker’s compensation program. Typically, if an employee is killed or injured on the job, the employee or his or her family can obtain benefits for lost wages, medical expenses, and funeral expenses, as well as survivor’s benefits.
