Video of Dallas Man Hurt in Waterslide Accident Goes Viral

A video showing a Dallas man flying off a waterslide has gone viral, and has over a million views. The video was taken with a cell phone, and shows the man at a home overlooking Lake Travis. He is sliding down a waterslide when it suddenly takes a quick turn. His body rode up the slide and went airborne, flipping him backward over the edge.

The man landed about 10 feet down on a rocky hillside and broke his left arm and several ribs. His lower back, shoulders, and side were covered in scrapes and bruises. He is currently recuperating at home.

A large group of friends had rented the house for a long weekend. They were taking turns on the private backyard slide when the man had the accident. He is focused now on his recovery, and refused to answer questions about the house, its owners or any potential legal case.

In situations involving rental homes, landlords have a duty to provide a safe property for tenants. If there are any dangers the landlord knows about or should know about, the landlord has a duty to correct the situation, as well as warning tenants of any potential dangers. If a landlord in Dallas fails to keep his or her property safe, the landlord can be held legally liable for damages.
